$2.50

Common Camas is found throughout much of the Pacific Northwest.  It blooms between late April and June in wet meadows and open prairies.  Common Camas is a member of the lily family.  Nez Perce and the Kalapuya Native American tribes used the bulb of this flower as a food source.  It takes a lot of patience to establish from seed and can take a full three years before it will bloom.  In the Northwest fall plant this flower for the best results.  Most natives need cold weather to initiate germination.
